Several internal improvements have been addressed.  To meet fire code the twelve classrooms in the South wing had the classroom door glass replaced with wired safety glass. The fire alarm system was updated with the addition of more fire detectors. The public address system was upgraded with intercom phones in each classroom.  Improvements in the gym include painting, refinishing the stage floor, new fire-coded drapes, as well as, the installation of six (6) motorized backboards/baskets, a new sound system and new motorized bleachers.  A twelve (12) camera motion sensitive security system which is monitored from the mailroom and allows for monitoring the exterior and interior of the building was installed.  A handicap accessible restroom was installed in the gym lobby.  All lavatories received new partition walls. Window shades were purchased for the classrooms in the Lincoln Place wing, the cafeteria and the gym. Air conditioning was added to the library, music room, science lab, math room, preschool classrooms, computer lab and mailroom.  The entire building was wired for a network and allows for Internet access from the computer lab, all classrooms, offices, gymnasium and the library.  The computer lab now contains thirty five new computers and every lower grade classroom has at least four computers, while grades five through eight have as many as eight computers in each classroom.

External renovations consist of a new roof on the entire school.  A handicap ramp now allows access to the building. The athletic field was updated with the addition of a new, safer backstop, fencing, gates, a concrete walkway, and sprinkler system.  A storage building has been added to house all the soccer, baseball, softball and lunchtime play equipment.  Dugouts will be added this summer. The parking lot now has new striping and numbered parking spaces. All faculty and staff members have assigned parking spaces for security reasons.
