Dear Parent/Guardian:

We would like to take this opportunity to greet you as we journey through the season of Advent.  As mission moderators, we are very proud of our students’ willingness to share their resources with those less fortunate throughout the world through the Holy Childhood Association.

The Holy Childhood Association office of each Diocese and the National Office work together to strengthen the faith of the young by developing in them an understanding of the World Church, and helping them see that when it comes to caring, distance or language difference does not matter.  Twice a year, the Advent and Lenten appeals are made as family projects meant to strengthen the bonds of caring!

The children have been given an Advent Envelope:  Please keep this in a prominent place in the home so that family members can contribute if they wish.  We encourage the children to contribute something each day.  The envelopes are kept at home until December 14^th.  We ask that you convert all loose change into bills and make a check payable to the Holy Childhood Association.  Return this in the envelope marked “Missions” with your child’s name, grade, and teacher.

Sharing with children in Mission countries has always been a priority for the children at St. Rose.  Your generosity will be greatly appreciated.  If you are unable to participate in this appeal, please remember to pray for the children of the Missions.
