CROP WALK

The Freehold Clergy Association sponsors the annual Freehold Area Crop Walk in October. Saint Rose of Lima Parish encourages families and school age students to support and participate in this fundraiser to benefit the food pantries of Open Door and Joshua House. This event, which raises our awareness of the hungry in our neighborhood, is a service project for St. Rose Confirmation students and the Boy Scouts.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration

The January commemoration of the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. brings people of all faiths and races together to pray for peace and justice in the world. The Freehold Clergy Association provides an opportunity for everyone in our area to join together for a service on the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Everyone from Saint Rose is encouraged to participate.

Open Door

Open Door is a food pantry sponsored by the Freehold Clergy Association. Saint Rose of Lima Parish helps to keep the pantry shelves stocked by supporting the collection of food and funds for Open Door at various times throughout the year. For example, at our Thanksgiving Liturgy there is a generous collection of non-perishable foods.

Thanksgiving Prayer Service

On the Sunday before Thanksgiving, members of all the area Churches gather together to thank God for the bounty of the earth. This service takes place in a different place of worship each year. Praying and socializing together helps us to realize the generosity of God’s love and providence. Saint Rose parishioners are encouraged to take part in this service each year with the priests of the parish.
